By using an Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter with your above ground splasher, metal or inflatable ring pool, you will be able achieve more efficient filtration results.
Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filters use silica sand media to filter debris from the pools water. Using silica sand as a filtration media allows the Krystal Clear Sand Pump to filter down to lower micron measurements, meaning smaller particles of debris are caught and trapped in the pumps media tank when filtered, (compared to using traditional Filter Cartridges).
Intex Krystal Clear Sand Filter pumps are extremely easy to set up and use with any Above Ground Pool and are supplied with hoses and fixings to fit most models of above ground pools, we also sell additional hosetail kits for pools without screw pipe fittings.
As the Intex Krystal Clear Filter Pump uses silica sand instead of paper cartridges as their filter media, you do not have any pump filters to replace, instead you backwash your pump every time your media needs cleaning. Silica Sand normally remains effective between three to five years depending on average usage, you will know around this time when it is time to change your sand as your pools water will remain cloudy for longer periods of time.
