Durafilter Glass Filter Media Grade 1, 2 and 3
DURAFILTER Glass Filter Media was specially developed and graded for use in swimming pool filters.
DURAFILTER is made from recycled glass and is totally safe for use as it is non-toxic and non-abrasive, and it conforms to British Standards PA102..
DURAFILTER is a more efficient media than silica sand; therefore with a careful water management programme it can produce cost savings for your pool.
We supply three grades, Grade 3 is the coarsest and should be carefully placed into your filtration tank first to cover your tanks laterals.
Grade 1 should then be be used to fill your tank as per the manufacturers recommendations.
Please note that you will only need around 90% of Durafilter Media compared to Silica Sand, so check your swimming pools filter manual for quantities.
