How it works ? Using your pools pump*, water is pumped out of of your swimming pool and through the systems solar matting collectors. The water is then heated as it passes through the collectors by the warmth of the sun, heated water is then returned back through the return to your pool.
Each kit consists of 1 x 20' Solar Panal that is 2' high, giving you a 40ft2 total surface area of solar matting each kit. You will also receive, End Stops, 1 x Connector Hose, Jubilee Clips, 1.5" Threaded Connectors & 1.25" Hosetails, PTFE Tape which is everthing you need to get started. To ensure that this product works efficiently you need to make sure you buy the correct amount of kits. Use the chart below to see how many Solar Panel kits will be require to suit the type and size of your Above Ground Pool.
Roof Mounting Tip* If you wish to mount this Solar Panel Kit on a shed or house roof to keep it out of the way, you will need to purchase a Roof Mounting Kit for every Solar Panel kit you buy. Please ensure you have a powerful enough pump to circulate the weight of the water up onto the roof, otherwise you may find that you need to upgrade your pump.
Whilst not essential, an optional 3-way valve diversion kit is also available for this system. Once fitted, you can easily and quickly divert your pools water directly into the systems solar matting collectors whilst the sun is out. Just as important, the valve can also prevent heated pool water passing through the matting when there is no sun, i.e. cloudy/night conditions, thus preventing any unneccassary heat loss, or when your pool has reached the desired temperture.
Please note* This Solar Heater Kit is an economical and ECO Friendly aid to swimming pool heating, it may be used in conjunction with other methods of heating your pool waters in un-predictable seasonal weather conditions.
