Most Pool & Spa algicides prevent algae. However if algae manages to establish itself in your pool or spas water the most effective means of destroying algae is to "Shock Treat" your pool or spa water with our chlorine granules before using Algae Eliminator, our Algae Eliminator has been formulated to destroy existing green, black and mustard algae.
The quantity of chlorine required to destroy the algae is dependent upon the severity of the algae infestation.
The following procedure should prove effective in restring green water to clear water.

Run Filter pump continuosly

Adjust pH to between 7.2 and 7.6

Brush pool or spa floor and walls

Shock Treat your pool with our stabilised Chlorine Granules #

Dose with clarifier to assist the filter in removing small particles

Wait 24 hours, or more before adding the required amount of our Algae Eliminator Treatment, (500ml per 10,000 Litres)

Wait a further 24 hours before vacuuming dead algae to waste
# If the algae infestation is very heavy (e.g. you are unable to see the bottom of your pool) increase the quantity of chlorine from 20g to 30g per 1,000 litres.
